What is the difference between scent lok and scent blocker

Scent-Lok is available in several different camouflage patterns. Scent-Lok technology was created to give you the advantage when hunting in many different environments. These clothing, shoes, and accessories use time-tested camouflage patterns and scent-blocking technology to hide you from animals keen senses of smell and sight.

The odor control system was designed to hide the human scent through the use of activated carbon, zeolite, and treated carbon. Taking proper care of your apparel and accessories can help the scent-blocking technology to stay active. Garments will contain a care label, and its important to follow those care instructions exactly.

The Carbon Alloy blend needs to be reactivated after every 40 hours of field use. When your clothing isnt being used, it can be stored in an airtight container to extend the time before reactivation is needed. Reactivation is done by putting your clothing into the dryer on high heat for 40 minutes.

Garments should only be washed in water, using the cold water cycle, when they have been soiled with mud or blood. If youre clothing isnt soiled, you simply need to reactivate in your dryer. The brand has a variety of hunting gear, apparel, and shoes.

These items come in many different camo patterns to work in different weather, seasons, and hunting environments. If that isn't good enough, the FBI just conducted tests that proved that Ozonic's will beat a drug and bomb sniffing dogs nose.

First product of it's kind to do so. The only proof that I've ever seen about Scent Lok was that a dog can track a human in a Scentlok suit without a problem. These videos are everywhere. So, if anyone could prove Scent Lok works - well, they wouldn't be in court right now! I say prove it if you believe so much in the product!

WKPTodd , Aug 4, Looking at the ozonics deal it makes since, for clothes and equipment. But when you put a smelly hunter in it then all deals are off. Also use micro thread suit under my scentloc suit and a scentloc mask for my hair and breath. I will say that if a buck is under a doe spell nothing is going to spook him,so you got that going for ya. As the wind shift"s around like when you are sitting by a fire think of where you sent is being blown as you walk and sit in your stand.

I could never bring myself to use something like this in the woodsmy goodness. What's next, use real does with mind control devices to lure bucks in to kill them? I've had it and used it. No different than keeping clean and wearing regular camo. Those that argue about deer getting close while wearing it have no argument.

And I liked the idea of the scent lock suit! Would you guys say it's worth the money? Or do you have any other brands to suggest? And also are the suits a pain and a hassle to keep up? What are the pros and cons to them? Thanks and sorry for all the odd questions guys! Just trying real hard to make up my mind here real soon! Galen , Sep 24, For scent control purposes? Absolutely not.

Don't buy into the hype and hunt the wind, best scent control there is. That said, scentlok and scent blocker both make excellent quality gear that lasts a while and is comparable to other companies on cost. If you want to go that route, it's by no means a bad option.

TEmbry , Sep 24, But also i've had deer down wind with using scentblocker and they never picked me up. TheChurchArchers , Sep 24, I think it works.

I never killed a big buck until I started being as clean and scent free as possible and this includes using Scent Lok. Since I've been doing this, I have 4 deer on my wall, one of which is a gross , all from public land in NY and have seen many others that I couldn't close the deal on. I don't think you can ever totally eliminate your scent but you can reduce it to the point that the deer think you are further away than you really are or they think you were there a while ago.

Kind of like when you smell a skunk. If its faint, you notice but don't pay much attention to it. If its strong you're on high alert looking for a skunk. I also see that you're from Ohio. If you hunt those hills, don't even try to bother hunting the wind.

It will change direction 10 times an hour. Hunting the wind is for flatlanders! Another thing that has piqued my interest lately is the use of smoke on your clothes. One of these days I may give it a try. Last edited: Sep 24, Mathewshooter , Sep 24, No suit out there is going to beat a deers nose. I dont care what anyone says. A deer has a better sniffer than a dog. A dog can smell a gram of cocaine submerged in a gallon of gas.

Now lets talk about carbon suits. By the time you buy it, the carbon in the suit is saturated.
