My strategy is to infuse with heavy gem, and use with a medium shield, like the Black Knight shield, that allows using the WA attack. Most times you don't even need to 2-hand to stunlock enemies and the weapon art absolutely slaps, with enough stamina you can easily guard break blocking enemies and follow up with a critical hit.
The claymore's brother, very small difference is damage, dps difference is negligible in pvp and only occurs when two handing. The choice is actually moveset and WA, want to guard break and tank charge with a huge hit? The reason the claymore is everywhere with a weird lack of bastard sword despite the same dps I honestly prefer this over the claymore. Sure the claymore has better scaling and a versatile moveset, but the bastard sword is the only greatsword than can turn your opponents into orbital satellites with the WA.
This weapon is like the little brother of the claymore that never got the same love and affection from his parents. What is the best infusion for this weapon? I have 30 strength and 29 Dexterity at the time of making this. I used this in the arena buffed with DMB and did a sneaky swap behind the pillar to a GS of judgement. They weren't expecting a beam to the face :D. Sign In Help Sign Out. Toggle navigation.
